A B'omarr monk was a member of the religious B'omarr Order.
History[]
These monks constructed monasteries on several planets, like Teth and Tatooine. In order to reach enlightenment and minimize worldly influence, the monks underwent a dangerous procedure to remove their own brains and place them inside nutrient jars that were carried by droid walkers. These disembodied monks then did meditative walks through the halls of their monasteries.
Due to their peaceful nature, the monks were often taken advantage of by scrupulous smugglers and crime lords, who would invade and occupy their monestaries. In Jabba's palace, a formerly B'omarr building, some B'omarrs still occupied the lower areas.
