Originally a Jedi Temple Guard during the Clone Wars, the Inquisitor was turned to the dark side worked officially for Darth Vader, hunting down remaining Jedi across the galaxy. Agent Kallus contacts the Inquisitor after his encounter with Kanan Jarrus and his crew. He is tasked with hunting them down.
He staged a trap for the Jedi and his new apprentice Ezra Bridger on Stygeon Prime by making the Rebel group believe that Luminara Unduli lived and was in need of rescuing. The Rebels arrive and are pulled into the trap. The Inquisitor steps out and introduces himself, activating his Inquisitor's Lightsaber and preparing to fight Kanan. They briefly duel and Kanan is knocked away. The Inquisitor goes for Ezra but Kanan uses the Force to send the evil Pau'an to the ceiling, holding him there until Ezra runs through. The Inquisitor chases the two and throws his lightsaber in a boomerang action in order to stop them but fails to do so.
Cadets Dev Morgan, (Ezra), and Jai Kell were excelling in the Imperial Academy (Lothal), and as Ezra overheard, were going to be relocated to the Inquisitor himself. Kell, Bridger and Zare Leonis stage an escape and do successfully but Leonis stays behind as he believes it is the only way to find his sister.
The Inquisitor looks at pictures of the two cadets and Recognises Ezra from the duel on Stygeon Prime. The Inquisitor asks Leonis to tell him everything he knew about "Morgan" and Kell.
When Empire Day arrived, the Inquisitor was present during the Celebration. When the Rebels exploded the new TIE Fighter on display the Inquisitor and Kallus gave chase. Garazeb Orrielious wants to shoot and Kallus but Kanan tells him to shoot at the Inquisitor instead, which he does but fails to kill.
When the Rebels escape with wanted Rodian Tseebo, the Inquisitor follows in his TIE Prototype. He fails to stop them from escaping but plants a Tracking Device on the Phantom which was attached to the Ghost. When the Rebels realise this, Ezra and Kanan eject from the Phantom while in Hyperspace, taking the large risk.
The Inquisitor follows the Tracking Beacon to Fort Anaxes where Ezra and Kanan use the force to send multiple Fyrnocks at him and his troopers. After disarming Kanan and cornering Ezra the Inquisitor mocks the boy to give into the Dark Side but Ezra uses the force to summon a giant Fyrnock and send it on him. The two Jedi escape.
On the Jedi Temple on Lothal, Ezra experiences a vision featuring the Inquisitor who kills his friends.
When Grand Moff Tarkin arrived on Lothal, The Inquisitor was present and later he executed Myles Grint and Cumberlayne Aresko for failing the Moff's expectation.
Kallus found out that the Rebels were planning to attack a communications tower and the Inquisitor and Kallus set off to intervene by Tarkin's orders. Hera refuses to leave without Kanan when the Inquisitor confronts him below the tower but eventually gives in. The Inquisitor duels Kanan briefly and wins, taking him captive. Ezra Bridger starts transmitting a message via the tower but Tarkin orders it destroyed.
Hera at first doesn't approve of a rescue but eventually give in and they find out his location while meanwhile the Inquisitor and Kallus torture Kanan to reveal more Rebels. The Inquisitor mocks him of his master's death.
When the Rebels attempt a rescue, The Inquisitor faces off a weary Kanan with Ezra's lightsaber but Ezra uses the Force to grab Kanan's Lightsaber from the Pau'an's belt. Ezra falls off the platform but survives unknown to Kanan who gives into his anger and fights the Inquisitor with fury. He cuts his Lightsaber in two and pushes him off the edge. His Lightsabers fall into the ships core and the ship begins to explode. As he clings onto the side of the Catwalk, the Inquisitors last words are..."There are some things way more frightening then death" and finally letting go to his death.
Years later when Kanan, Ezra and Ahsoka Tano traveled to the Lothal Jedi Temple, Jedi Master Yoda provided a vision of Jedi Temple guards to Kanan - the main one being the Grand Inquisitor who knights Kanan then provides a distraction for the Seventh Sister and the Fifth Brother who arrive to kill the Jedi.
