Korso was a human male criminal who worked for Tobias Beckett up until an operation which required Korso and Tobias' crew to go undercover as Imperial swamp troopers, during which Korso was killed by rebel Mimabnese fighters.
History[]
Employment under Tobias[]
In 10 BBY, Korso was hired by the infamous smuggler, Tobias Beckett to join his crew in an operation to pay back the criminal syndicate known as the Crimson Dawn. This operation would require Korso and the rest of Tobias' crew to go undercover as Imperial swamptroopers so they could hijack an AT Hauler that Tobias planned to utilize to steal a large amount of coaxium from the Empire.
Mimban[]
On Mimban, Korso operated as a heavy gunner, taking a defensive position amongst the Imperial trenches. The fighting between the Imperials and the native Mimabanese forces was swift and chaotic, as the Mimbanese would hide amongst the planet's thick mud and strike Imperial soldiers down from a distance. While fighting to survive in this chaotic atmosphere, the primary Imperial Officer of the assault was killed in battle, forcing Tobias, who had stolen an officer's uniform, to take charge of the battle. Hoping to finish the fight as quickly as possible so his crew could finish their operation, Tobias ordered all remaining Imperial troops to charge the Mimabenese' defenses.
Death[]
Although this plan did succeed in overwhelming the Mimbanese' defenses and force the rebels to retreat, it cost the Empire heavy casualties, of which included Korso, who had charged the Mimbanses alongside Beckett and the other Imperials and was killed by one of the rebels while supplying heavy fire for his allies. His death later influenced Tobias Beckett to take in the former Imperial swamp trooper, Han Solo and his newfound Wookiee warrior, Chewbacca into his crew, as he saw them as useful replacements.
