Mandalorian Super Commandos were elite warriors of the Shadow Collective that formed from the Mandalorian Warriors of Death Watch.

History Edit

This group of militant Mandalorians was formed after the death of Death Watch's leder, Pre Viszla, in a duel with Darth Maul. The Super Commandos painted their armour red in honour of Maul. Some of their members even added horns atop their helmets to emulate his Zabrak features.

The Super Commandos fought with a splinter group, the Nite Owls, who had been a unit in Viszla's army and refused to follow Maul, who they considered an outsider. After Viszla's defeat, they broke away and began a guerrilla campaign against Darth Maul and his Super Commandos.

During his reign over Mandalore, Maul kept several Super Commandos as his personal guards along with his brother, Savage Opress. These warriors were swiftly choked to death by Maul's old master, Darth Sidious, when the elder Sith Lord arrived on Mandalore to capture his former apprentice. Elsewhere in the capital of Sundari, Super Commandos and Night Owls fought each other in a battle throughout the cityscape.

Later, after Maul's capture by Sidious, the Super Commandos freed him from his prison on Stygeon Prime. They continued to follow Maul, even after the break-up of the entire Shadow Collective.
