The Millennium Falcon was a Correllian freighter and the ship of first Lando Calrissian and then Han Solo.
History
The Millennium Falcon was seen shortly following the Battle of Coruscant on Coruscant and it survived the Clone Wars eventually coming into the ownership of Lando Calrissian.
Calrissian lost the ship in a game of Sabacc to fellow smuggler Han Solo.
The Falcon became a legend in tales of the rebel alliance after the Galactic Civil War due to Han Solo's heroics in the war and Calrissian's destruction of the second death star using the ship.
Han Solo and Chewbacca lost the ship to the Gannis Ducain who lost it to the Irving boys who lost it to Unkar Plutt on Jakku where Rey, Finn and BB-8 escaped the planet in it 30 years after the Battle of Endor. Solo and Chewbacca were reunited with their ship above Jakku and flew it to Takodana and then on a mission for the Resistance to Starkiller Base. Han Solo died on the icy stronghold and Chewbacca and Rey flew the ship to Ahch-To to find Luke Skywalker.
The ship saw action with some First Order TIE Fighters folllowing these events some time.
