"We are awaiting your word, Commander."
-OOM-10, to R2-D2.
OOM-10 was a B1 battle droid that was reprogrammed by the Galactic Republic to help a Republic Task Force infiltrate a Separatist Prison known as The Citadel to rescue Jedi Master Even Piell and his ship's captain, Wilhuff Tarkin. OOM-10 would serve under Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker during the mission, alongside a few other reprogrammed battle droids, but would be ultimately loyal to Skywalker's astromech droid, R2-D2.[1]

After rescuing Master Even Piell from The Citadel, OOM-10 and the other Republic task force members attempted to escape aboard a stolen Separatist shuttle, but this plan was foiled when the shuttle was destroyed by the Separatists. With their shuttle destroyed, OOM-10 and the others were forced to make their way through the planet of Lola Sayu's mountainous terrain in order to get to a position in which the Republic can rescue them. Unfortruenly for OOM-10, he and the other reprogrammed battle droids were destroyed during a Separatist ambush, during which OOM-10 and his fellow droids tried sacrificing themselves to give their Republic allies enough time to escape, but were all easily mowed down by the advancing Commando droids and Crab droids.

History Edit

Reprogrammed Edit

OOM-10 was originally a standard B1 battle droid who fought for the Confederacy of Independent Systems before being captured by Republic Clone Troopers alongside two other battle droids and reprogrammed to fight for the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars.

Mission to the Citadel Edit

OOM-10, alongside the other two Reprogrammed Battle Droids, was assigned to aid a small Republic Task Force to infiltrate the Separatist prison, The Citadel. After landing on the planet where the Citadel was located, using a stolen Separatist shuttle, this droid stayed behind with R2-D2 and the other two droids. When R2 received orders from Jedi General Anakin Skywalker to pick them up from a certain area of the Citadel, OOM-10, R2, and the other two droids flew the ship to the meeting area.

Sneaking out of the Citadel Edit

"The Commander is pleased to see you as well, sir, but would like to return to the shuttle as soon as possible."
-OOM-10, to Obi-Wan Kenobi.

OOM-10 and the other reprogrammed droids pretend to turn on R2-D2 to fool K2-B4.

When K2-B4, the tactical droid stationed in the Citadel arrived instead of the team, OOM-10 and the droids were forced to act as if R2 was their prisoner and were taking him for interrogation. When they were in the clear, R2 then realized that Obi-Wan Kenobi and his team would be walking into a trap, he was right as Kenobi and his team was indeed captured but while they were being taken to the interrogation room, OOM-10 managed to convince the security droids escorting them to hand the prisoners over.

They then rushed Kenobi's team back to the ship waiting outside, where they met with Skywalker's team. However, OOM-10's reprogramming had been revealed to the Separatists by K2-B4 and a group of battle droids, droid commandos with energy shields and two crab droids rushed outside to confront the team. In the firefight which ensued, ARC trooper Echo was killed.

Destruction Edit

OOM-10 is destroyed while attempting to hold off Separatist reinforcements.

OOM-10 and the remaining members of the team managed to retreat to the caves below the Citadel where they waited for the Republic forces that had been called by Kenobi to arrive. However, while heading for the extraction point, battle droids arrived and ambushed them. R2 then ordered the droids to hold them back while the squad escaped. In the end, although the team managed to escape with only two casualties, the entire battle droid team including OOM-10, was destroyed.
