The skirmish took place between the warrior group of Talz and the surprised forces of the Separatist Alliance and the Galactic Republic, the latter two who had been in conflict before the natives attacked. Later on when Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Chairman Chi Cho and Senator Riyo Chuchi arrived on the planet with Clone Troopers and Pantoran Guards, they found the remains of the battle and discovered a holorecording of the Talz attacking a Battle Droid.
