Starkiller Base was an Ice Planet converted into a First Order Base. It contained a Superweapon capable of destroying full Star Systems. It was commanded by General Hux who wished to gain the approval of Supreme Leader Snoke by using the weapons power. It is responsible for destroying multiple New Republic fleets and Systems including the Hosnian System- the headquarters of the New Republic Senate.
