Tatooine was a Desert Planet on the Outer Rim with two suns. It's towns were full of slaves, thugs, aliens, pilots and Bounty Hunters and the entire planet was controlled by the Hutts for a long period. Jabba the Hutt had a palace there. Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker originally came from Tatooine.

History Edit

The Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker, was born on Tatooine from his mother Shmi Skywalker where he was raised as a slave. When he was nine, Qui-Gon Jinn, Padmé Amidala, Jar Jar Binks and R2-D2 arrived in Mos Espa due to a broken ship and met Anakin. After he won a Podrace which earned him his freedom and Qui-Gon the ship parts he needed, Anakin left his mother on Tatooine and departed with the group.

Skywalker returned later as a Jedi Apprentice to save his mother as he had been having visions of her death. He was sent by Watto, his old slave master, to the Lars Homestead where Cliegg Lars, Shmi's new husband told him that Tuskens had taken her. He took Owen Lars' Speeder Bike and went to the Tuskens Camp where he killed all of the Tuskens after his mother died in his arms.

During the Clone Wars, Ahsoka Tano and Anakin brought Rotta the Huttlet to Tatooine to return to his father Jabba and fought Count Dooku and his Magnaguards there before returning the Huttlet.

Much later into the war, Darth Maul, Savage Opress, Pre Vizla and Death Watch arrive at Jabba's palace and fight Sugi, Latts Razzi, Embo, Marrok and Dengar as well as many other thugs in order to gain the Hutt's trust. After the hunters flee, Jabba decides to join Shadow Collective.

Padmé had twins, Luke and Leia and Obi-Wan arrived on Tatooine with the boy and gave him to Owen and Beru Lars, to keep him from his father Anakin who had recently turned to the dark side and became Darth Vader. Obi-Wan stayed on Tatooine and took on the name Ben Kenobi, living as a hermit in a hut while watching over Luke.

R2-D2 and C-3PO landed in an escape pod on Tatooine with the Death Star Plans and were searched for by Imperial Sandtroopers, who patrolled the entire planet, mainly the towns, Mos Eisley in particular. Owen Lars bought the two droids off Jawas who had caught them. R2 went looking for Obi-Wan and Luke and C-3PO went out to find him. Obi-Wan saves the trio from the Tusken Raiders and takes them back to his hut where he gives Luke his fathers old lightsaber and tells him that Darth Vader killed his father who was a Jedi Knight. Luke and Obi-Wan find the Jawa Sandcrawler which had been wrecked and all had been killed by Sandtroopers. Luke realised they would go to the Moisture Farm next and races of in his speeder. He is too late to save his uncle and aunt who were killed by the Sandtroopers before Luke arrives. Luke agrees to go to Alderaan with Obi-Wan since there was no life left on Tatooine for him.

Luke would spent some days later on Tatooine in Ben's hut after the Battle of Yavin where Boba Fett found him and they fought.

Skywalker returned to Tatooine years later to save Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt. He is captured as well as Leia and Chewbacca. Jabba planned to feed to them to the Sarlaac but with the help of Lando Calrissian who was undercover at the time, the group escape, Boba Fett falls into the pit with the Sarlaac and Jabba is killed.

Somehow after the Battle of Endor, a group of Jawas find the Armour of Boba Fett.

Behind the Scenes Edit

Tatooine was never named in the script of the first "Star Wars" and instead was called Utupau. It was later named after the location of the desert it was filmed at.

A planet has been discovered with two suns which by some fans has been called the Real Tatooine.
